सोमनाथ शर्मा

मेजर सोमनाथ शर्मा, पीवीसी (31 जनवरी 1923 - 3 नवंबर 1947), इंडियन आर्मी के एगो ऑफिसर छेले, आरो परमवीर चक्र के पहिलकरो विजेता छेले। हुन्ही ई पुरस्कार के पहिलो विजेता छेले, आरो ई पुरस्कार हुनखा मृत्यु क बाद देलो गेले।

शर्मा 1942 म उन्नीसवाँ हैदराबाद बटालियन म नियुक्त छेले। हुन्ही द्वितीय विश्वयुद्ध घड़ी बरमा केरो अराकान कैम्पेन म छेले। 1947-1948 केरो इंडो-पाकिस्तान युद्धोम श्रीनगर के घुसपैठिया सन्ही साथें हुन्ही लड़ते लड़ते वीरगति प्राप्त करलके। बड़गाम केरो लड़ाय घड़ी हुनखर हिम्मत आरो त्याग लेली हुनखा परमवीर चक्र देलो गेले।

शर्मा केरो जनम डोगरा ब्राह्मण परिवारोम 31 जनवरी 1923 के कांगरा, पंजाब के दध म होल छेले। हुनखर पिताजी, अमर नाथ शर्मा एगो मिलिटरी अफसर छेले। हुनखर आरो भाय सन्ही मिलिटरीम छेले। Sharma was born into a Dogra Brahmin family on 31 January 1923 at Dadh, Kangra, Punjab (present day Himachal Pradesh). His father, Amar Nath Sharma, was a military officer.[lower-alpha 1] Several of his siblings served in the military.[1][lower-alpha 2] His younger brother, Vishwa Nath Sharma, would later become the 14th Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army. Somnath Sharma completed his schooling at Sherwood College, Nainital, before enrolling at the Prince of Wales Royal Military College in Dehradun. He later studied at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst.  During his childhood, Somnath was influenced by the teachings of Krishna and Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita, taught to him by his grandfather.
